Heart and circulatory system
Heart and circulatory system - As the main organ of the circulatory system, the heart allows the flow of blood in the blood vessels. The circulatory system is responsible for the transport of oxygen, all essential nutrients and hormones to the tissues, as well as for the removal of metabolic products and carbon dioxide from all tissues of the body. The circulatory system also takes part in immune reactions of the body, transports antibodies and leukocytes to places, in which an infection occurred and - through skin regulation of blood flow - stabilizes the temperature of the body.
